1. Pre - Hackathon
    1. Registration Form is to be filled only by THE TEAM LEADER. Please communicate with your team well to prevent the errors.
    2. Each team can submit the registration form only once. Ensure all information is filled out completely and accurately. No edits will be entertained after registration.
    3. MECIA Hacks 2.0 is open to college students of ANY department of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad. The Participant and Leader both must be a currently enrolled SVIT student.
    4. Participants will be required to have teams of 3 or 4 students. Interdisciplinary teams are allowed.
    5. The problem statement chosen by the team must align with the specified category/domain of MECIA Hacks 2.0 and can be addressed with any hardware or software solution for any one domain only.
    6. Before hackathon, an ideathon will be organized.

  1. During Hackathon

    1. Please make a conscious effort to arrive on time for all scheduled events, including team verification, the opening ceremony, and meal times. Your cooperation will help maintain the event's momentum and create a positive atmosphere for all participants.
    2. Adhere to the guidelines provided by the organizers.
    3. Make the most of the mentoring sessions to enhance your project. Experienced mentors will be available to provide guidance and support throughout the process.
    4. For the safety and security of all participants, please refrain from wandering around the campus during the hackathon**.** Unauthorized movement within the campus premises is strictly prohibited. Disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found violating this rule.
    5. Any damage to lab property will result in strict actions. Please use equipment responsibly and keep your workspace clean.
    6. Consuming eatables is strictly prohibited within the lab area. Please consume food in designated areas outside the lab.
    7. Participants must wear their ID cards at all times during the hackathon. This is a mandatory requirement for security and identification purposes.
    8. To redeem your meals, present your coupon to the designated food counters when claiming your meals.
    9. Avoid food wastage. Eat only as much as you can finish.
    10. Tips for final pitching:
      • Define the problem: Explain clearly what problem you're solving.
      • Keep it simple: Make your pitch easy to understand and interesting.
      • Recognize individual efforts: Acknowledge each member's contributions.
      • Emphasize innovation: Highlight unique approaches or technologies used.
      • Practice, Practice, Practice!!: Rehearse your pitch to feel confident.
  2. Post Hackathon

    1. Be ready to present your concept as judges rotate through the booths.
    2. Judges' decisions will be considered final and binding. No special appeals will be entertained.
    3. You can approach the SSIP cell with your hackathon project (Mechanical Dept. - Ground Floor) for fund raising and patenting your innovation.
